Business Start-ups
The Connect Africa Foundation provides start up loans for business development to guardians of orphans. This micro loan program empowers caregivers to generate the income they need to support their families. In turn, the start-up businesses quickly begin contributing to the economic development of the community. Once the loans are repaid, the businesses make a donation to Connect Africa in order to help other community members develop businesses. The loan program encourages community responsibility for a better economic future for all. Specifically:
- Loans are interest free
- Loan contracts are unique to each families needs
- Encourage savings and long term planning for their families
- Ongoing monitoring of businesses is provided
